LEAP

When we develop the Mindset we can leap forward to shape a more sustainable world. That is the idea of LEAP!, the Working Group on the Sustainability Mindset part of PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), the academic arm of the United Nations Global Compact. LEAP also summarizes the purpose: Leverage resources, Expand awareness, Accelerate change and Partner, and brings together academics interested in developing a new mindset with their students.

I started this in 2014 with a dozen colleagues, and in 2024 we are +310 scholars from 59 countries. The members are researching the Sustainability Mindset in their context and culture, writing papers, books, chapters and presenting at conferences to share with colleagues what is possible. We estimate that over 30 000 students a year are revisiting their mindset, and connecting head, heart and hands to actively shape a better world.
